Cairo to host Muslim- Christian dialogue
The secretary general of the Middle East churches council Riyadh Jarjour has announced that the council and the Arab team for the Islamic- Christian dialogue will hold a meeting in Cairo today to discuss the implications of September 11 incidents against the US.
In a press statement he made in Cairo, Jarjour said the meeting will concentrate on discussing relations among nations and religious groups and cultures from the view point of both the Arab and Western worlds and will deal with relations and the positive dialogue between Muslims and Christians in the Arab world and countries of the region.
He explained that the Arab team to the dialogue and the churches council are following up the grave developments following September incidents and the eruption of war in Afghanistan. A matter which necessitates the formation of a vision concentrating on dialogue and co-operation among civilizations and rejection to violate religions.
