Israel violates new truce with the Palestinians

The government of the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Wednesday foiled a new truce reached by the American envoy Anthony Zinni on Tuesday evening.

In press statements an American diplomat said the Zinni reached with the Israelis and the Palestinians a truce of 48 hours as from Tuesday evening and it was approved by the representatives of the israeli and Palestinian sides, in principle, but the Israeli side laid condition to implement this truce.

The American diplomat indicated that the Israelis stressed they will continue to assassinate activists of the Palestinian Intifada and to retaliate the Palestinian mortars shelling.

Just few hours after this truce the Israeli helicopters raised Gaza and this resulted in killing the four Palestinians and wounding other 17.
