On occasion of Eid, al-Assad offers Syrian state employees, retired 50% of their one month payment

SYrian President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued the legislative decree no 57 for 2001 which stated to offer for one time at 50% of the wages and monthly payment to all civilian and military employees in the country's ministries, public companies and establishments, municipalities, local units as well as joint sector's sides. The decree exempts the offered donation from income taxation usually imposed on wages and salaries.
