Yemeni kidnapper of German experts changed residence

A Yemeni government official said on Sunday that Yemeni tribesmen who last week kidnapped a German expert moved to a mountainous area, 170 Km to the east of the capital Sanaa and that the army forces are besieging the area.

The Yemeni official told reporters it is believed that the kidnappers belong to Bani Zubyan tribe, stressing the readiness of the Yemeni authorities to use military force to end the kidnapping operation.

However, armed tribesmen kidnapped the German who was working as an agent for the Mercedes Benz in Yemen from the downtown of Sanaa on Thursday, while the German embassy in Sanaa did not recognize the hostage nor comment of the kidnapping incident.
