Italian party for strengthening relations with the Arab states

The Italian opposition " Leftist Democrats" has called for strengthening relations with the Arab states and with the Islamic world for the interests of peace in the world. The said party expressed support for the foundation of an independent Palestinian state.

The new secretary for the party Pierro Vasino said in a document issued by his party following its general conference which concluded its deliberations recently that it has become urgent and imperative to embark on the policy of dialogue and co-operation with the Islamic countries and society in order to avoid " certain matters." Vasino added that work should be made to finding many solutions for several conflicts which were described as local, but recent incidents in the US proved that every and each local war is part and parcel of comprehensive security.

He also said that a solution should be urgently found in the Middle East based on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
