Al-Kharafi warns against a civil war in Afghanistan
The chairman of the Kuwaiti Ummah council Jasem al-Kharafi has warned against the eruption of a civil war in Afghanistan resulting in massacres, calling on the international coalition against terrorism to be cautious to prevent the occurrence of a crisis.
In a statement quoted on Sunday by the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am, al-Kharafi added:" we follow up the current incidents in Afghanistan with bleeding hearts. Despite our support for the international coalition against terrorism, we all hope averting any reasons that will result in the eruption of a civil war and massacres, this coalition will be blamed for."
He said that the coalition member states have to deter every one who causes human massacres during the surrender of the Taliban movement. He called for taking into account the fourth Geneva agreement concerning prisoners at times of war.
