Rabat, Brasilia to be twined
The local authorities of the Moroccan capital city of Rabat on Friday agreed to a Brazilian proposal to twin Rabat with the Brazilian capital city of Brasilia.
The proposal was made by the Brazilian ambassador in Rabat to the Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation department with the aim to reinforce cooperation ties between the two cities, particularly in cultural realms.
Rabat is already twined with several capital cities in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
The Urban community of Rabat is yet to endorse other twining accords with the Colombian capital city of Bogoto and the Bahrain city of Rifaa.
