The BBC correspondent in the occupied Palestinian territories said on Saturday that the Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aliazer is carrying with him during his visit next week to Cairo a political plan implies reviving the negotiations on the Syrian and Israeli tracks..

In his plan, the radio said, Bin Aliazer indicates a positive change in the position of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and readiness to return back to the talks with Israel.

Bin Aliazer said that there is a window of opportunity which was opened and deserves to be invested in order to resume the negotiations between Israel and Syria.

Bin Aliazer hoped that the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will convey his political plan which he will propose to the Egyptian President next week in Cairo to each of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and to the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat on the hope to break the stalemate in the negotiations on the Syrian and Palestinian tracks.

On the Palestinian track, Bin Aliazer proposes to halt the Palestinian Intifada and returning back to conditions prevailing before the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada in September 2000, the pullout of the Israeli army to previous positions, removing barriers and lifting the siege imposed on the Palestinian territories, opening the airport of Gaza and the crossings and providing facilities to the Palestinians and then returning back gradually to the political negotiations after the Palestinian authority will agree on this plan.
