Hizbullah party refuses American proposals

Originally published

The secretary general of the Hizbullah party Hassan Nasrullah has disclosed that the party has refused American proposals sent through mediators following the incidents of September 11.

He said that these proposals are: US establishment of good relations with it for three American demands that can be put as follows: A new policy by the party that makes a distinction between terrorism and Islam; the Party's retreat from the Palestinian cause and severing its relations with the Palestinian Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movements and also breaking the liaison with Syria.

Nasrullah stressed in a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Ama issued on Friday that the Hizbullah's party's rejection of these American demands resulted in enrolling its name in the list of terrorist organizations, noting the party's care to maintain the strategic relations with Syria due to the fact that weakening this relations will result in undermining Lebanon.

Nasrullah also ruled out that the US will carry out any act in the region because it does not have the justification for that.
