Overwhelming support for Egyptian plan on Palestinian rights

Ambassador Ahmed Abul Gheit, Egypt's permanent delegate to the United Nations, said that the delegations of 87 states support the annual Egyptian draft resolution on the right of Palestinian people for self-determination and creation of their independent state.

The draft resolution makes reference to all international treaties and contracts that emphasized the right of self-determination. The committee of human, social, and cultural affairs is expected to sanction the plan by the end of this month.
