The Arab summit to be held in Beirut on March 30- 31

News reports have stressed that an initial date was set for convening the next Arab summit in Beirut on March 30 and 31.

This date will be preceded by a meeting for the Arab foreign ministers and also for the ministers of the Arab follow up committee which follows up the implementation of the Arab summit resolutions.

The General secretariat of the Arab league is making contacts at many levels to agree on the final date as first it was stated to convene the summit on March 27 and 28 but later an almost final agreement was made to convene this summit on March 30- and 31.

The Lebanese government is taking measures in preparation for the summit.
