In a word on Teachers' Day: Mubarak stresses good education helps combat terrorism

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said that the only way to face the challenges of terrorism, destruction, sabotage and murder is through providing good education and knowledge to our children to protect their hearts and minds against intolerance. We should teach children to respect the views of others and adopt democratic values. Reform can only be realized through developing education and teachers.

In President Hosni Mubarak's word to the celebrations of Teachers' Day, read out by Minister of Education Hussein Kamel Bahaaudin, Mubarak said that schools are centres of enlightment and attraction to children.
