Maher, Afro Asian peoples solidarity chief review current developments

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Maher met Monday with the Afro-Asian Peoples Solidarity Organization (AAPSO) Chief Murad Ghaleb.

In statements, Ghaleb said that the meeting came within the framework of efforts to further relations between AAPSO and the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

"The Organization was keen on exchanging viewpoints with the Foreign Minister as regards current international developments, in view of the US-led campaign on Afghanistan," according to Ghaleb.

Ghaleb said that he submitted to the Egyptian diplomat a report on AAPSO's standpoint on the importance of realizing justice with respect to international trade rules.

Ghaleb added that he discussed with Maher the possibility of holding a conference on terrorism under the auspices of AAPSO.
