EFACD in USA today to discuss Mideast peace, terrorism

The Egyptian Foreign Affairs Council Delegation (EFACD) arrives today in the USA under ambassador Mohamed Shaker on a week-long visit. The delegation will conduct talks with US decision-making circles. Shaker said meetings would be held with US decision-making circles in the Congress, the National Security Council, Arab and Islamic communities and the Jewish lobby in the USA.

The delegation would also meet with media men, a number of officials in the UN and US Foreign Affairs Council.

The head of delegation said the talks would cover a number of issues in the world politics arena including the Mideast peace process, Israeli repression, the consequences of 11 attacks and terrorism.
