Coalition government in Comoros

Originally published

The committee in charge of the following up the agreement on national reconciliation in Comoros announced that a referendum will be made on the constitution in Comoros on December 23. A coalition government will be formed including all sides concerned following the referendum.

Comoros ambassador in Cairo Muhammad Ali Dya said that it is decided that Anjoine Island will take part in this central government for the first time since 1997, under the chairmanship of Col. Othman Ghazali, President of Comoros.

The ambassador added that the committee intends to call each of the three member committee office and the branch committee in charge of drafting laws and the independent national committee in charge of elections to take part in its next ordinary session to receive the new draft constitution.

However, the committee in charge of following up the framework agreement concerning reconciliation met on September to complete the formulation of the draft constitution on the new Comoros federation.
