Morocco-Jordanian High Joint Commission Meets In Amman
The Moroccan-Jordanian high joint commission will be meeting here this October 24-25, under the co-chairmanship of the two countries prime ministers, Abderrahmane Youssoufi and Ali Abu Ragheb.
A package of 13 agreements and work programs are on the agenda. The agreements deal with prevention of tax evasion, encouraging investments, maritime transport, non-double taxation, activating the action of the two countries' chambers of commerce and industry and cultural, scientific and environmental cooperation.
In parallel, businessmen from the two countries will meet to prospect business and partnership opportunities. The Moroccan business delegation comprises some 20 businessmen operating in the sectors of pharmacy, ready-to-wear, food industry and earthenware manufacturing.
Soon after inception in Rabat in June 1998, the joint high commission held its first meeting.
Morocco's prime minister has toured in the past week Lebanon and Syria before heading for Jordan. He also chaired the Moroccan-Lebanese and the Moroccan-Syrian joint commissions.
