Solana starts on Monday a ME tour
The spokeswoman for the higher representative for security and the European foreign policy Christina Ghalash stressed that the recent European summit has concentrated on the need of re-launching the peace process in order to find out a settlement for the situation based on UN resolutions concerned and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In a statement she made in Brussels on Monday Ghalash called for the need of halting clashes in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing Solana's determination to continue his efforts in order to resume the ME peace process.
She continued that Solana who headed on Monday to the region in a tour during which he will visit Israel, the Palestinians territories, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia that falls in the efforts made to this effect.
