Some 7 Palestinians killed and 30 wounded in clashes
Seven Palestinians were killed and tens wounded by the Israeli forces which broke into Bethlehem and al- Beera. Strong confrontation took place between the Palestinian citizens and the Israeli invading forces in Qilqilya, Ramullah, jenin, Beit Sahour, Beit Jala and Aida and al-Ezza camps and in Khan Younis and al- Mintar crossing in Gaza.
Detailed news reports said the Israeli forces incurred in Bethlehem and the surrounding areas and the Palestinian promptly defended their lands and houses and as a result the Palestinian woman Mariam Sbeih in al-Khuder village was killed and Abdul Qader Abu Sorour in Aida camp when the Israeli forces opened fire randomly at the houses.
Mousa Abu Eid was killed by the Israelis in beit Jala and two Palestinian policemen were killed during the confrontation took place in al-Beera and Ramullah. Another Palestinian was killed near al-Mintar area in gaza and the Palestinian child Basem al-Mubasher was killed in Khan Younis after his relatives ' house was bombarded while number of Palestinians wounded in the confrontation reached 30.
Meantime, Israeli sources admitted that two Israeli soldiers were wounded in the confrontation took place in Bethlehem and that the Israeli invading forces were strongly confronted by the Palestinians.
Moreover, the democratic front for the liberation of Palestinian claimed responsibility for killing one Israeli settler and wounding two others in an operation carried out on Friday on the ring- road between Nablus and Qalqilya.
Meanwhile a Palestinian official said that the executors of the Jerusalem operation against the Israeli minister of tourism are not from the Palestinian territories, noting that the Palestinian authority security men arrested scores of members of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine to interrogate them to this effect.
The Palestinian authority warned against the Israeli army breaking into the towns of Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, beit Jalam and al-Ezza and Aida camps besides the assassination of Palestinians that all will lead to destructive consequences.
In a statement, the Palestinian authority said that comprehensive Israeli attack comes as an implementation to the decision to launch a war on all fronts against the Palestinian authority and its establishments and against the Palestinian people, their cities, camps and villages and constitute a violation to the cease- fire decision as well as disclose the real intention of the Israeli government.
The PA also called on Israel to resume security and political negotiations with an international participation in order to implement Tenet's paper and Michael's package.
