Holland for the establishment of the Palestinian state

The Dutch prime minister Vim Cook stressed on Tuesday the need of achieving permanent peace in the Middle East.

News reports said that Cook called in a joint press conference he held in the Hague with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat, who was in Holland in a short visit, for the establishment of the Palestinian state.

He added that the European states and the US will pressure all sides in order to resume peace talks in the Middle East, noting that there is an urgent need to achieve a permanent peace and this is only attainable through the establishment of a Palestinian state.
