Al-Jazira correspondent detained at Geneva airport

The Qatari al- Jazira TV station said on Monday that one of its correspondents was held on Sunday evening at Geneva's airport.

Al-Jazira added that " Ahmad Kamel," its correspondent in Brussels headed for Switzerland to prepare a report on the World Trade Organization but the Swiss authorities prevented him from getting into the country.

In a telephone call through his " mobile telephone" given to him for few minutes only, Kamel explained he was in a " cell" and he was deprived of all his private things and all papers. He continued that no certain accusations were addressed to him nor the reasons behind holding him. Al-Jazira indicated that Kamel traveled to Switzerland by a Belgian passport.
