An American warning message to Iraq
The BBC has stressed that the message which was handed by the US ambassador at the UN to his Iraqi counterpart Muhammad al-Douri last Sunday included a tough American warning to the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The BBC added that the message was handed over though common diplomatic channels at the UN but the source of the message is the American administration which warned in its message Saddam Hussein in investing the US preoccupation in its military act in Afghanistan and attack the Iraqi opposition groups inside Iraq or against the neighboring state. A matter which the American administration does not permit.
The BBC continued that the American officials admit that Iraq is not on the American list as a suspected side, but this situation might be changed in light of the recent statements by the US ambassador in which he says that many facts are still unknown concerning the attacks at the US and that Washington preserves her right to take further measures against other states and organizations if proved to be involved in the recent attacks.
