Rachid Haddaoui on temporary release for health reasons

The former director of La Caisse Nationale du credit Agricole (CNCA), Rachid Haddaoui, was granted Tuesday evening temporary release for health reasons, his attorney, Mourad Bekkouri, told MAP. Haddaoui had been arrested on August 1, 2000 to appear before the special court of justice for participation in squandering public funds.

Haddaoui will undergo a surgical operation in the coming 48 hours, he said.
