The Moroccan-Spanish high joint commission will meet before the end of the current year, it was announced in Rabat on Monday.

Spanish foreign minister, Josep Pique, and Morocco's prime minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, told the press following a meeting they held in Rabat they have examined preparations for the meeting of the high commission. However, the venue of the session was not yet decided.

The Moroccan official, who described as fruitful his talks with the head of the Spanish diplomacy, said the session will look into all issues likely to boost bilateral relations. He insisted that Moroccan-Spanish friendship is now a reality and that both sides are resolved to consolidate these relations.

Pique also voiced firm resolve to construct these relations on sound, friendly and privileged bases and handle all common issues with professionalism and efficiency. Illegal immigration, financial cooperation and agricultural, fisheries and trade issues were also surveyed, he went on.

Regarding the international situation resulting from last September's attacks against the USA, the Spanish foreign minister said terrorism should be fought with all social, economic and political means.
