A state of alert in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti ministry of the Interior on Friday, September 21, decided to increase preparedness for its police officers and members, but giving no explanations for reasons behind this measure.

The Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah issued on Saturday quoted official sources as saying that the ministry of defense also announced a state of alert, third stage, among its armed forces.

Kuwaiti military sources explained that the " third stage" means that the army chief of staff and his deputy and leading figures in the armed forces are in their positions ( offices).
