Because Sharon is in Moscow, Shamakhani postpones visit to Russia

The Iranian minister of defense Admiral Ali Shamakhanai has stressed that the postponement of his visit to Russia was at the initiative of the Iranian ministry of defense.

In a statement he made on Tuesday, Shamakhani said:" it is bitter to visit Russia in coincidence with the visit of the Israeli prime minister, while the Israeli terrorism groups kill and terrify the unarmed Palestinians." Shamakhani indicated that violating defense relations between Iran and Russia constitutes one of the main tasks for the diplomatic and security systems in both Israel and the USA.

He added that Israel's making Sharon's visit to Russia, coinciding with the visit of the Iranian minister of defense to Russia is part of the perpetuated attempts by Israel to " undermine the solid relations between Iran and Russia."
