Israel isolated at Durban anti- racism conference

Originally published

Arab Islamic and international efforts have managed to clamp down stringent international isolation on Israel because of its racist policies against Palestinian people.

These successful efforts have pushed Israeli delegation to think of withdrawing from Durban conference because of sharp criticizm during deliberations and hard-line policy of the Palestinian side.

The government of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has sustained a strong setback after NGOs denounced Zionism as synonymous to racism.

Three thousand NGOs condemned Israel as a racist state accusing it of committing racist crimes regularly including war crimes, collective annihilation and ethnic cleansing.

The declaration and the plan of action issued by the conference which wound up its activities yesterday called for providing international protection for the Palestinian people until their liberation from the racist occupation.

It also called for setting up an ad hoc court for trying war criminals.
