Tunisia: Opposition magazine prevented from distribution

The Tunisian opposition Progressive Democratic party has announced that its weekly magazine al-Mawqif ( the position) was not distributed at the press selling centers on Wednesday and called on the Tunisian authorities to honor the freedom of the press.

In a statement, the party stressed that issue number 213 of the magazine each is released every Wednesday was not available at the press selling centers, besides the copies usually sent to subscribers were not handed to them.

The statement added that no information were received from the printing house nor the distributing company. He explained that the new issue includes the party's position on the presidential elections, besides an article about the revolution of judge Mukhtar Yahyawi on that the " Judicial authority in Tunisia is not independent."
