Moussa, Cim discuss conditions in the region
The secretary general of the Arab League (AL) Amr Moussa on Monday in Cairo discussed with the Turkish foreign minister Ismael Cim developments of conditions in the Middle East region and the strategic military cooperation between Turkey and Israel and its negative impact on the Arab interests.
In statements following the meeting, Moussa warned against the consequences of any cooperation that affects Arab interests and increases intensified conditions in the Middle East region.
The AL chief stressed the need of Israel's commitment to the international legitimacy resolutions, and the land for peace formula until peace and stability are restored in the Middle East.
For his part, the Turkish foreign minister stressed his country's care to make continued consultations with the Arab League with the aim to develop Arab- Turkish relations, noting that he extended an invitation to the AL chief to visit Turkey as soon as possible.
Cim said that Turkey will spare no efforts in order to ease down conditions in the region through its relations with both all Arab states and Israel.
