Mubarak-Ciampi talks to save peace march

"Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's talks with Italian President Carlo Ciampi and Premier Silvio Berlusconi centered on efforts exerted to rescue the peace march in the Middle East and halt the deteriorating conditions in the region," said Egyptian Information Minister Safwat El Sherif. "The two sides also exchanged views on ways to activate resolutions adopted by the G-8 leaders during their summit held recently in Genoa, Italy," El Sherif said.

Talks, dwelt olso on fields of bilateral cooperation, the future of economic, trade and technical relations between Egypt and Italy and aspects of cooperation in light of Egypt's signing a partnership agreement with the EU, he added.
