Sri Lanka people demonstrate against the Israeli ambassador in Colombo

Sri Lanka on Friday witnessed acts of protests against appointing an Israeli ambassador in Colombo. This is the second protest within one week.

An official from Sri Lanka said that these protests were held in several areas in the island where people went into the street to express their regret towards this measure taken by the government of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka witnessed protests on Monday after the Israeli ambassador David Matnai submitted his credentials to President of Sri Lanka.

Worthy mentioning that Sri Lanka resumed its diplomatic relations with Israel in May 2000.
