Al-Assad gets a message from Ukraine's counterpart

The Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara on Monday received the chairman of the higher judiciary council in Ukraine's republic, who is also the special envoy for President of Ukraine Leonid Kotchma and members of the accompanying delegation. The delegate handed al-Shara a message addressed to President al-Assad from President Kotchma.

Present at the meeting were the director of the east Europe department at the foreign ministry Ghassan Raslan and Ukraine's ambassador in Damascus.

Discussions dealt with conditions in the region and means of strengthening relations between the two sisterly countries Syria and Ukraine.
