A study to amend the Yemeni elections law

The Yemeni Shoura council has started to study amendments proposed by the government to the general elections law, enforced at the meantime. These study and discussions came at the request made by the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh from the Shoura council and the government in order to deal with these issues with the aim of enriching observations and proposals to eliminate the criticism addressed to the said elections law.

In the first session for the Shoura council in which large members took place, chaired by Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani, amendments proposed to the law were proposed.
