Italian businessmen prospect Moroccan market

Originally published

A delegation of Italian businessmen is currently visiting Morocco to explore investment and partnership opportunities in the kingdom.

The delegation from Umbria region held meetings with economic operators from the region of Fez-Boulemane in the frame of a seminar on Moroccan-Italian partnership.

The seminar, part of Italy's strategy to promote its relations with Mediterranean countries, provides opportunity to establish a productive cooperation between the two countries' businessmen.

Economic operators from Umbria, whose economy is based on agriculture (olives, grapes, fruits, vegetables and cereals) and small and medium-sized enterprises, can cooperate with their peers in the Fez-Boulemane region in the sectors of agri-business, textile and tourism.

Similar seminars on investment and partnership opportunities and economic prospects in Morocco are being held in various parts of Italy to highlight the advantages provided by the Moroccan investment code and a Morocco-Italy forum gathering economic operators and outstanding figures from the world of culture, science and communication has just been set up in the European country.

The forum seeks to bring the two countries closer, promote Morocco's image in Italy and be a platform for meetings between businessmen, activists from the civil society and intellectuals.
