Originally published

The Palestinian Islamic and national forces on Wednesday refused the American paper proposed by the director of the US CIA George Tenet to halt what is called cease- fire between israel and the Palestinian Authority and stressed commitment to the continued Intifada and resistance.

The higher follow up committee of the Islamic and national forces which includes some 13 groups including the Palestinian national resistance Fatah, the Islamic Jihad and Hamas said in a statement that the follow up committee as rejecting the Tenet paper and its conditions which are refused by the Palestinian people, however, renew determination to boost the Palestinian national unity so as to continue the Intifada and declared rejection of all forms of US and Israeli " blackmailing."

The Palestinian forces also held the American administration responsible for any new Israeli aggressive escalation and warned the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and his government from the consequences of any new adventure because then " he will pay a dear price."

The Palestinian forces called on all sides of the international community and all peoples in the world to challenge the Israeli aggressive policy and to shoulder their responsibilities towards this American intransigence and to consider it as an aggression against " the Arabic and Islamic nations." These forces stressed the right of the Palestinian people to continue the Intifada and resistance against the Israeli occupation and the Israeli settlers, in being a legitimate right carried out by peoples in confrontation of their occupiers.

Both the Palestinian national resistance movement, Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad on Wednesday called for the continued Intifada and expected that the Tenet plan to halt confrontations in the occupied Palestinian territories will fail.
