On Arafat's visit to Damascus

Arab member in the Israeli Knesset Azmi Beshara has denied to have had discussed during his recent visit to Syria the question of the visit of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to Damascus, noting that he had discussed this matter during his previous visits to Syria. Beshara said in a statement to the Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal issued on Tuesday that there is no certain date for Arafat's visit to Damascus.

Beshara refused to talks about the details in the mass media on why this visit has not taken place yet.
