Al-Assad confers with Hariri, Junblat

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received in Damascus at the Damascus al-Shaab palace on Tuesday the Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri.

Talks, during the meeting, dealt with latest developments in the region, current challenges facing Syria and Lebanon and bilateral ties.

Earlier in the day, the President also received the member of the Lebanese parliament and the Chief of the Socialist Progressive Party Walid Junblat.

Syria- Lebanon relations and issues of common concern were discussed during the meeting.
