Morocco is attending this Tuesday a meeting of the corporate council on Africa on investments in the Maghreb.

The meeting is debating business opportunities in the Maghreb and the economic potentials of the region's countries.

Morocco is represented in the meeting by economy, finance, tourism and privatization minister, Fathallah Oualalou.

The Council musters working groups from Nigeria, South Africa and the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya). It is chaired by Robert Pellitreau, former assistant secretary of state.

The Council's prime objective is to promote business and trade ties between the USA and the Maghreb countries.

Oualalou headed the Moroccan delegation to the spring meetings of the World Bank and the Monetary Fund, held April 26-30 in Washington.
