The two departments pledge to implement the accords signed between the two countries and to encourage the signing of other accords on bilateral cooperation.

The memo was initialed by Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, and Honduran minister of external relations, Roberto Flores Bermudez, who is currently on a visit to Morocco.

In an exchange of addresses, the two officials voiced appreciation for the longstanding relations binding the two countries. Benaissa expressed recognition to Honduras for its stand regarding the Kingdom's territorial integrity, while Bermudez voiced thanks to Morocco for the assistance it extended his country in 1998 following the Mitch hurricane. Morocco was the first Arab country to assist Hounduras in the mishap, Bermudez said.
