Jordan: King Abdullah to visit Kuwait in May
The Jordanian King Abdullah II will visit Kuwait in may during which he will hold talks on the question of the Iraqi- Kuwaiti relations.
Replying to a question put by the press on Wednesday in Amman, the Jordanian minister of information Taleb al-Rafai said that the " visit of the King falls in the course of his presidency of the Arab summit," which was held in Amman by the end of March and in the course of a series of visits the king will hold to the countries of the region.
A Jordanian official source explained it is expected that the Jordanian King will visit Kuwait in the " mid of may in response to an invitation he had received from Kuwait before the convening of the Amman's summit." On whether Abdullah is intended to also visit Iraq in the context of this tour on the region, al-Refai said " I am not entitled to define the answer." However, the recent Arab summit in Amman decided to assign King Abdullah to " continue contacts' for working in order to achieve a progress in the issue of the " Iraqi- Kuwaiti case" after it has become difficult to attain positive results in this regard during the summit itself.
