Sudan and IGAD summit

The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael has stressed that the IGAD states summit which was called on by President of Kenya Daniel Arab Moi concerning peace in Sudan will be held before the end of this month in Nairobi and that there are arrangements currently held for convening it.

In a statement to the Sudanese daily Alwan ( colors ) issued on Saturday, Othman Ismael added that the Sudanese government continued, on the other hand, contacts with the US administration to improve relations with it and that a notable progress was attained on these relations without Sudan's giving up its principles in calling to the independence of the Sudanese decision.
