Israel cordons Nablus, breaks into Housan village
The Israeli forces on Thursday broke into Housan village, near Bethlehem and held a military siege on it, arrested several Palestinian youths there.
The Israeli artillery, armed vehicles and tanks bombarded Beit Sahour, Aida camp, al-Khuder village, Beit Jala, Beit Hanoun and Areiha at a time when confrontation erupted with the Israeli forces in various areas of the West bank and Gaza.
The israeli forces also tightened the siege against the Palestinian territories by pouring huge amounts of drainage waters and industrial wastes in tunnels drilled on the old way between Nablus and Ourta in the West bank.
The Israeli tanks shelled Beit Sahour and Aida camp and this resulted in wounding two Palestinians one of them is in a critical condition.
The israeli tanks also shelled Areiha in the West bank and attacked with tear gas palestinian demonstrators near an Israeli barrier to the south of Nablus in the West bank and arrested 15 demonstrators.
News reports said that clashes and confrontation took place near Toulkarem between the Israeli army and the Palestinian demonstrators and similar confrontation also took place in several areas of Nablus, Bethlehem and Near Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Intifada youths retaliated the israeli army attacks and the settlers by throwing stones at the Israeli patrols and positions and this resulted in wounding one settler near Toulkarem.
Meantime, great tension is prevailing the areas of Gaza after the Israeli army broke into several areas of Gaza especially Rafah, Khan Younis and Beit Hanoun and Gaza and destroyed Palestinian houses in these areas.
The Israeli forces in an ambush that belongs to the Israeli army tried to assassinate the Palestinian youth Khalil al-Sattani near Kfar daroum settlement in Gaza.
The Israeli radio said that an Israeli military tank bombarded a car al-Sattani was riding. He is one of the cadres of the Palestinian resistance Movement Hamas. His car was destroyed and he was strongly wounded and was admitted to al-Shefaa hospital in Gaza.
Eye- witnessed said that an Israeli military ambush tried to stop al-Sattani at Deir al-Balah road but an Israeli tanks chased his car and shelled him and strongly wounded him.
Meantime, an Israeli military source stressed to the Israeli radio that the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the areas which it re-occupied inside the areas, supervised by the Palestinian authority is not considered a final withdrawal as instructions given by the Israeli defense ministry to the army do not stress the question of withdrawal, rather it was stated a temporary evacuation, in remarks to the possibility of re- occupying these areas once again.
Meanwhile, the Israeli minister of Tourism Rahbam Zeifi said in an interview with the Israeli radio, one who thinks that any withdrawal from areas controlled by the Palestinian authority as final and definite will be mistaken as both the Israeli army and the settlers consider their return back to these areas might take place at any moment.
The Israeli minister added that all areas of the occupied Gaza and West Bank are under what he called the Israeli security range and will remain so if the Palestinian authority will accept that or not.
