Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak sent a message to President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahayan dealing with means to boost pan-Arab cooperation in the economic domain.

The message, conveyed by Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid during an audience Wednesday with Sheikh Zayed, also tackled arrangements underway for holding an Arab economic conference in Cairo in November in addition to the feasibility of promoting bilateral ties.

"The meeting dealt with present conditions on the Arab arena and developments in Palestinian territories in light of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people," the Agency said.

"Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan Wednesday held a meeting with Ebeid on developments in the region," reported the UAE News Agency.

The meeting dealt with means to consolidate joint Arab action. The two sides also tackled the issues to be tabled on the agenda of the Arab economic summit to convene in Cairo in November.

Ebeid's visit to the UAE comes as part of his Arab tour that began on Sunday. The tour included Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

President Mubarak will receive a report on Ebeid's Gulf tour upon the Premier's return to Cairo Thursday.
