Acts of violence in Algeria

Eight persons were killed in Algeria including 6 gun-men in acts of violence took place last Thursday.

The Algerian French daily " le Journal Independence" said that members of the municipal guards killed 5 gunmen last Thursday in an ambush they installed in al-Haqeyah in al-Bweira province to the east of the capital Algiers.

The paper explained that the gunmen were killed when they came to visit a brother of one of them who was injured in a car accident. Two other gunmen were also killed on Thursday in clashes in Ein al-Defli area to the west of the capital and in Tareq Bin Zeyad area.

On the other hand, several Algerian dailies have reported that two members of the Algerian civil defense guards were killed and other three wounded on Friday in Si Mustafa area, near Bumerdash to the east of the Capital.
