Originally published

The British Trade Partners Authority has launched a campaign to attract the attention of British investors to Egypt.

Behind this campaign a team headed by Nigel Smith who is also the director of The Near East Department at the Authority and Tony Ames, trade and investment consultant for the Authority in Egypt.

Smith and Ames assert that the size of British investment in Egypt is 7% out of the total British investment worldwide. This size will increase gradually with the coming of more British firms to Egypt such as British Gas.

They also stressed that the Egyptian law now is more flexible than before to attract more foreign investment particularly British investment.

They also praised the Egyptian government's wide efforts to combat bureaucracy and hinted that such efforts take part in attracting foreign investment to Egypt.

They also added that direct contacts with Egyptian officials are continuous. Such contacts help with eliminating the obstacles before foreign investors, importers and exporters.
