Ruler of Bahrain to visit Qatar today

A Qatari official stressed on Monday that the ruler of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa will today pay a visit to Qatar in a visit which marks the beginning of rapprochement between the two states after settling their border conflict at the decision of the International court of justice.

The Qatari official who asked not to be identified explained that this " visit constitutes the first step after closing the file of border disputes to bring the two countries together." He added that the visit of the Emir of Bahrain to Doha comes as a reply visit to the visit made by his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani to al-Manama on March 2nd.

Meantime, a Bahraini economic source said that arrangements are underway to establish a Bahraini- Qatari investment company at a big capital to invest in economic and industrial projects in the two states.
