Moroccan Speaker Carries on Contacts With Korean Officials

Speaker of the house of representatives (lower house of the Moroccan parliament), Abdelouahed Radi, held a second round of talks Thursday with speaker of the Korean national assembly, Lee Man Sup, and with members of the Korea-Morocco friendship parliamentary group.

Talks covered prospects of cooperation between the two legislative bodies and coordination within international forums.

Both sides pledged to enhance and diversify Moroccan-Korean relations and to contribute to promoting peace and democracy in the world.

The Korean MPs voiced admiration for the role played by Morocco at the regional level and for its efforts to build up a strong, competitive economy.

Radi, who started his trip to Korea Tuesday, visited a number of Korean economic institutions and met Korean Premier Lee Han-Dong.
