Originally published

Jordan has officially announced that it is free from any traces for the " foot and mouth diseases" and that the general health condition of the Jordanian livestock is not affected by this disease.

The director of the livestock department at the Jordanian ministry of agriculture Asaad Abu al-Ragheb said in a press statement on Sunday in Amman that the ministry is implementing a regular program to vaccinate livestock against this disease every six months.

He explained that this disease effects livestock, including cows, sheep, goats and pigs and is transmitted by touch or water springs and through the air or water.
