Arab states agree that situation in Palestinian lands is very critical

Egypt's Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said the Arabs agree that the situation in the Palestinian lands is very critical.

Moussa said the Arabs realize the difficulties that the Palestinians are going through because of the siege and the Israeli policy, which meant to make the Palestinians feel the brunt of their military occupation.

Moussa said that Arabs agreed that the situation in the Palestinian areas should come to an end on the basis of what had been realized in December 2000 and January 2001.

He added that Arab leaders would discuss during their coming summit the situation in the occupied Arab lands, the peace process, the Iraqi issue, in addition to other issues related to the Arab world and the Middle East.

Moussa said he meets with his Jordanian counterpart often and exchange letters in preparation for the summit, to be held in Amman on March 27.

"The situation in the Arab world preoccupies all of us and we are working on improving Arab-Arab relations," he said.
