A new Turkish understanding for the sanctions imposed on Iraq

The Turkish foreign minister Ismael Cim on Tuesday expressed his hope that a new understanding for the sanctions imposed on Iraq since more than 10 years will be adopted.

News reports quoted Cim as saying to pressmen following his US counterpart Colin Powell in Brussels that Turkey hopes that the sanctions imposed on Iraq will be alleviated gradually besides Iraq's commitment to UN resolutions.
