Iranian FM : meeting with Mubarak,cordial and fruitful

Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi praised as good and cordial his meeting with President Hosni Mubarak.

The D-8 third Summit covered means of promoting bilateral economic relations and activating trade movement among the group member states.

Interviewed by the Egyptian TV late Tuesday, the top Iranian diplomat said he also discussed with President Mubarak the situation in the Middle East and the rights of the Palestinian People .

President Mubarak stressed that the issues of AL Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestinians in diaspora are unnegotiable.

"Unless all Palestinian rights, including the refugees' right of return, are restored, peace cannot be attained in the region," said kharrazi.Talks also touched on Egyptian-Iranian cultural and economic relations.

On Iranian President Mohammad Khatami's absence from the D-8 summit, Kharrazi said Khatami's engagements barred his attendance.
